Winston-Salem, North Carolina, police are seeking three men accused of shooting one horse and killing another while riding in stolen vehicles.

Police records show that officers responded to a call on May 12 from two horse owners reporting their animals had been shot in their pastures near the Muddy Creek Greenway area. A previous call reported that drivers of three vehicles were speeding in the greenway, endangering pedestrians and bicyclists.

Further investigation revealed that one horse died at the scene and another had been wounded. Police recovered shell casings from bullets allegedly used to shoot the horses.

Police also recovered one vehicle allegedly used in the incident but are still seeking a SUV and a pick-up truck
