The Morris Animal Foundation is pleased to report the realization of a goal to fund $2 million in health studies by the year 2000. The Foundation also has added a variety of animal health studies to its growing list of vital investigations designed to improve the health and well-being of companion animals and wildlife.
The Equine Studies include these:
Developmental Bone Disease
Mark B. Hurtig, DVM, MVSc, University of Guelph, Ontario Veterinary College, has been approved for a one-year study entitled, “Use of Osteochondral Grafts for Management of Fetlock Developmental Bone Disease.”
R. Clark Billinghurst, DVM, Colorado State University, College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, has been approved for a one-year study entitled “Skeletal Markers in Developmental Orthopaedic Disease in the Horse
