Partnership between RVC, Buckingham Equine Vets Announced
The Royal Veterinary College (RVC), at the University of London, England, announced May 9 a collaboration with Buckingham Equine Vets (BEV) designed to advance the standards of veterinary education and the care of injured and rehabilitating horses, ponies, and donkeys.
The announcement coincides with the opening of BEV’s new purpose built and fully equipped equine clinic in Buckinghamshire, England. The collaboration will allow the veterinarians of the future, veterinary nurses, and qualified veterinarians to develop their clinical skills at a modern veterinary practice. At the same time it will offer clients of the Buckingham-based practice the latest diagnostic and treatment services, combined with support from staff in the equine veterinary field at the RVC.
The partnership was formally launched with the opening of the new clinic by Stuart Reid, BVMS, PhD, DVM, Dipl. ECVPH, FRSE, MRCVS, principal of the RVC.
Speaking ahead of the official launch, Reid said, "I am delighted to be officially opening these fantastic new clinical facilities and announcing this innovative new partnership. The combined experience and expertise of the RVC and BEV will undoubtedly result in better learning opportunities for our students and an even higher quality of care for patients
