Police in Houston, Texas, are seeking whoever is responsible for the stabbing death of a horse earlier this month.

Houston Police Sgt. Virginia Brasher said that on Oct. 8, the owners discovered the mare stabbed to death in its stall. The horse’s death was the third fatal attack on the family’s animals, Brasher said. On Oct. 3 the family’s Collie was discovered shot to death, and on Oct. 7 their Rottweiler was found poisoned, she said.

"We’re obviously very concerned, because if someone would do this to these three animals, we don’t know what they might do next to people," Brasher said
