A Thoroughbred retirement organization has purchased one of the 10 horses that portrayed Seabiscuit in the 2003 film about the horse, says the Miami Herald in a July 21 article.

The Herald article quoted Michael Blowen, founder and president of Old Friends, a Thoroughbred retirement group as saying Popcorn Deelites was in quarantine in Guthrie, Okla., and should arrive at Hurstland Farm in Midway, Ky., early next week Hurstland uses that farm for some of its horses.

Popcorn Deelites, which appeared in starting-gate scenes in the movie, was purchased for $1,500 from David Hoffman of Las Vegas.
Several other “Seabiscuit” equine stars have been retired to farms where they can be visited by fans
