Due to the currently still very unstable Covid-19 situation all throughout the world, it was unfortunately not possible to organize a live 10th edition of the EEHNC. However, we are happy to announce our first virtual congress edition on March 25-26th 2021, and online follow-up webinar sessions throughout 2021 and 2022.
The general theme for the 10th EEHNC and follow-up webinar sessions will be Fiber first.
On the 25th and 26th of March 2021 webinar sessions are planned in the afternoon (CET). The timing is such that participants from North & South America can join us early morning. These webinar sessions will be followed up with three additional online webinar sessions hosted in 2021 and 2022.”
The first webinar session (March 25th 2021) will address questions like “How much forage does a horse need?”, “Can we feed forage only diets without any supplementation?”, What factors affect the nutrient content of pasture & forage? and “How can we manage pasture intakes by horses and ponies?”.
The second session (March 26th 2021) will address several (diagnostic) systems applied for parasite control and the relationship between parasite control and pasture management. During the panel discussion the question: “Are there nutritional strategies for parasite control?” involving both nutritionists and equine parasitologists will be discussed.
Renowned experts in their field have confirmed their presence as speakers. We will be joined by Pat Harris, Myriam Hesta, Annette Longland, Edwin Claerebout, Aránzazu Meana Manes, Deborah van Doorn, and many more.
The follow-up webinar sessions will address the following topics:
- Session 1 (September 30th 2021): Moulds, mycotoxins & atypical myopathy Dominique Votion & Cecilia Müller
- Session 2 (March 24th 2022): Fiber intake, fermentation & dental condition Marcus Clauss & Lieven Vlaminck
- Session 3 (September 29th 2022): Equine gastric ulcer syndrome & nutritional management Frank Andrews
