Hagyard Equine Medical Institute, in Lexington, Ky., has become an official equine medical promotional partner of the National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA) Safety and Integrity Alliance. Hagyard Pharmacy will participate in this year’s second annual NTRA Professional Education Seminar, scheduled for Oct. 18-19 at Keeneland Race Course, also in Lexington.

The seminar–which is open to the public–will feature speakers from across the country who will discuss health and safety topics targeted specifically to trainers, aftercare organizations, racing officials, and veterinarians. An agenda and list of speakers will be released at a later date. Attendance at the seminar will help satisfy continuing education requirements for racetracks as mandated by the Alliance’s Code of Standards.

"Hagyard Pharmacy is pleased to support the NTRA Safety and Integrity Alliance and the Professional Education Seminar in their initiatives to promote continuing education on equine health and wellness," said Andrew R. Clark, DVM, MBA, chief executive officer at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute. "The seminar presents Hagyard Pharmacy a unique opportunity to interact with the equine community while contributing to the ongoing pursuit of continuing education."
