The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Ready Campaign has teamed up with the American Kennel Club (AKC), the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), and Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) to educate pet owners about the simple steps they can take to prepare their animals for emergencies.

As a result, a new emergency preparedness brochure for pet owners is now available on the Ready Campaign Web site, https://www.ready.gov, or by calling 1-800-BE-READY
